Residential Study Course (RRC) is the brainchild of the BCAS, envisaged by its’ then President CA P. N. Shah in 1968-69. RRCs are designed in a manner to keep the BCAS Members ahead of time through case study-based learning and group discussions on topics relevant to Chartered Accountants, whether in practice or from the industry.
No, BCAS programs are not covered under the CPE of the ICAI.
BCAS has published more than 500 publications since 1949 on various subjects relevant to Chartered Accountants in practice or from the Industry.
More than 20 features per month on Accounting & Auditing, Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Corporate & Commercial Laws, International Taxation, High Courts & Supreme Court decisions rulings covering tax laws and detailed articles explaining the implications of laws dealt with day in & day out by Chartered Accountants.

The significance of learning through BCAS Study Circles lies in the collaborative and interactive learning environment they create, the opportunity for personal growth, the fostering of diverse perspectives, and the promotion of lifelong learning.
Generally, all the events are recorded at the BCAS. As per the selection by Office Bearers, events are being uploaded to the e-learning platform “Courseplay”. These programs are offered at a price where any professional can learn online at his/her convenience. A course will remain active for 30 days from the first login. BCAS plays a significant role in supporting and assisting CA students by conducting various sessions on “How to crack the CA Exams”. BCAS also conducts sessions on key topics relevant to the CA Course. BCA Journal & Referencer are very useful for CA Students to understand the application of knowledge provided in the study material.

BCAS has its library for members only. BCAS Library has a subscription to The Economist, India Today, Business World and The Chartered Secretary, with other professional books on Audit, Tax, FEMA, Transfer Pricing, Company Law etc. Any member may visit the BCAS to use the BCAS Library to read books and take Xerox copies of the relevant sections of a book.
